About this policy
This policy covers the Auto Units iPhone app and its optional account service, which shares a login with AutoPrint. You can browse public business reports without an account. AutoPrint purchases are also covered by its privacy policy.
Information we collect
If you create an account, we collect the email address or phone number you choose, an account identifier, your saved businesses, and session information such as device software and sign-in times. Requests also reach our hosting and reporting providers, which process network information such as IP addresses. Guest saves stay on your device.
How we use and share information
We use this information to verify sign-in, sync saved businesses, manage sessions, operate the app, and prevent abuse. Resend delivers email codes. Twilio Verify delivers and verifies phone codes. Our hosting and database providers process information to operate these services. We do not sell account information or use it for advertising tracking.
Security and retention
Codes expire and can be used only once. The app stores its sign-in credential in the device's Keychain. Account and saved-business information remains until you delete the account. Short-lived verification and abuse-prevention records support account security; our service providers also retain records under their own retention policies. Deleting an account revokes its sessions.
Your choices and account deletion
You can log out, sign out other devices, or delete your account in Account → Settings → Delete account. Deletion requires a fresh code and confirmation. It removes your shared Auto Units and AutoPrint login, authentication methods, sessions, saved businesses, and saved addresses, and anonymizes customer contact records. Historical order records, including information needed for fulfillment and recordkeeping, remain. Creating an account again does not restore the deleted profile.
